# Why does an email bounce?

> The most common reasons outreach emails bounce, and how bounces differ from errors.

Emails can bounce for a variety of reasons. Most commonly, these include:

* **Invalid email address**: If the email address you are reaching out to is invalid, it will result in a bounce.
* **Domain health**: If your domain has a low reputation, it may be blocked by the receiving mail server.
* **Recipient mailbox settings**: Some organizations have strict anti-spam configurations, making deliverability difficult.
* **DNS record configuration**: Your email DNS records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) need to be configured correctly. Note that this takes place outside of Juicebox.

<Note>
  "Errors" in Juicebox are distinct from bounces. An error typically occurs when email permissions were not granted successfully — try reconnecting your mailbox from the [Integrations tab](/email-integrations).
</Note>

Depending on the domain health, spam blocks can also bounce emails.

For verified emails, indicated by a purple check mark, Juicebox provides a 90% deliverability guarantee.
