# How do I add or reduce the number of Agents on my plan?

> Buy more Agents, reduce your Agent count, and free up Agent slots.

[Juicebox Agents](/juicebox-agents) are an add-on to your paid subscription. Each Agent on your plan gives you one Agent slot. You can buy more Agents or reduce your Agent count yourself from your account settings.

  Only organization admins can change the Agent plan. If you're a member, Juicebox shows a request option instead. Select an admin to send your request to, and they can complete the change.

## Prerequisites

* A Starter or Growth plan. If you're on the free plan, [upgrade your plan](/help/plans/upgrade-plan) first.
* Admin access to your organization.

## Open Manage Agents

1. Click your name/organization in the bottom left corner.
2. Click **Account Settings**.
3. Under **Organization**, click **Agents**.
4. On the **Juicebox Agents add-on** card, click **Manage Agents**. If you haven't bought Agents yet, click **Purchase agents**.

The card also shows **Agents used**, the number of Agents counting toward your limit compared to your plan's total.

## Add Agents

1. In the dialog, use **+** to choose how many Agents you want on your plan.
2. Review the invoice preview:
   * **Due today** shows the prorated charge for the added Agents for the rest of your current billing period, before your next renewal. It also shows any promo code or unused account credit.
   * **Next bill** shows your next invoice total at renewal, including your plan seats and Agents.
3. (Optional) Enter a promo code and apply it.
4. Click **Add *N* Agents** (for example, **Add 2 Agents**) to confirm. Juicebox charges the amount due today.

The confirm button stays disabled until you choose a number above your current plan size.

### Adding more than 5 Agents

Self-serve purchases cover up to 5 Agents. If you try to go above 5, the dialog asks you to contact sales. Organizations on enterprise or custom Agent limits also see a **Contact sales** option instead of the purchase dialog. Juicebox's team can set up custom Agent limits and pricing for you.

## Reduce Agents

  You can't reduce your plan below the number of Agents you're currently using. If you try, Juicebox shows "Close an Agent to reduce your plan further." Click **See all Agents** to open your Agents list and [close the Agents](/juicebox-agents) you no longer need, then try again.

1. Open **Manage Agents**.
2. Use **−** to choose a number below your current plan size.
3. Review the preview. **Due today** shows **No charge today**, and **Next bill** shows your invoice total after the reduction.
4. Click **Confirm reduction**.

Your Agent limit updates right away. Billing adjusts at the end of your current billing period, on the date shown in the dialog. Juicebox doesn't charge or refund anything today.

  If you remove all paid Agents, Juicebox also removes any account credit you received from a first-Agent promo. The dialog shows the amount before you confirm.

### Undo a scheduled reduction

A reduction is a scheduled change until your billing period ends. To undo it, open **Manage Agents** again. Juicebox asks whether to override your scheduled subscription change. Click **Override**, then choose the number of Agents you want to keep and confirm.

## When you run out of Agent slots

When every Agent slot on your plan is in use, Juicebox tells you that your organization has reached its active Agent limit. You can:

* **Close an unused Agent.** If an Agent is out of leads, Juicebox shows a callout naming its project and noting it still uses a plan slot. Close it if you don't plan to recalibrate it. Click **Review Agents** or **See all Agents** to find Agents to close.
* **Ask an admin.** If you can't close the Agent or change the plan yourself, select an admin and send a request. The admin can close unused Agents or buy more.
* **Add Agents.** Admins can add Agents from the same dialog, as described above.
