About the integration

Juicebox’s integration with Fountain allows you to:
  1. Export Profiles to Fountain: Save profiles directly into Fountain, including contact details, current company and job, profile URLs, and more.
    1. [Configurable] Auto-Export: Juicebox has the ability to auto-export profiles to your ATS with configurable triggers, including after shortlisting, after adding to a sequence, or after an interested response.
    2. Custom Integration Fields: On some plans, integration fields can be customized further based on your preferred fields.
  2. Link Fountain Jobs to Juicebox
    1. Import Job Descriptions: Import a job description from Fountain into Juicebox to automatically kick off a search using the job description.
    2. Simplify Exports: When exporting a profile from Juicebox to the ATS, it will automatically be connected to the correct job in the ATS. More details here.
  3. View Profiles in Fountain: View profiles already in Fountain within Juicebox. Avoid reaching out to the same profile twice, and instantly view your relationship history.

Start a project via the Fountain integration

Open the projects page and select Import Job from ATS / CRM. You will then see your Fountain jobs and can select the corresponding option.

Export profiles to Fountain

Follow the regular export steps and select Export to Fountain on either an individual profile or a bulk export. After exporting, you will see the profile created in your Fountain account.

View profiles already in Fountain

Juicebox will tag profiles that already exist in Fountain. You will see the last modified date, as well as the option to view the profile directly in Fountain by clicking the View in ATS button.

Before you start

Fountain One connects using an OAuth Client ID and Client Secret. Because the keys are tied to a Fountain integration that you assign a role to, you control exactly which permissions the integration is granted. You need a Fountain One account with admin access to Settings > Integrations & API Keys. If you don’t see this option, ask your Fountain administrator to grant you access or to create the API keys for you.
Choose Fountain One if you manage credentials under Settings > Integrations & API Keys. If you instead use a private API key from Company Settings, follow the Fountain (legacy) section at the bottom of this page.

Create API keys in Fountain

  1. Log in to Fountain, click your account name in the bottom left corner, and click Settings.
  2. In the settings list, find the Workflows group and click Integrations & API Keys.
  3. Click Add integration in the top right corner. Enter a Name (for example, Juicebox), select the Role that will be assigned to this integration’s API keys, and click Add. The role determines the permissions the integration has, so choose one scoped to what you want to share.
  4. Find your new integration in the list, click the (more actions) menu on its row, and select Manage API keys. Click Add, give the key a name, and click Create.
  5. Copy the Client ID and Client Secret shown in the dialog and keep them somewhere safe.
The Client Secret is shown only once and cannot be recovered. If you lose it, create a new API key.

Setting up the integration

  1. Navigate to the Integrations tab on the Juicebox platform.
  2. Select Fountain and click Activate. You can also use the search bar at the top.
  3. When asked which version you’re connecting, choose Fountain One (New).
  4. Paste your Client ID and Client Secret into the corresponding fields and click Set up integration.
  5. After you have clicked through the remaining pages of the pop-up, the configuration will be completed. If successful, you will see a green Connected button in your Integrations marketplace.
Congratulations! You have successfully integrated Fountain and Juicebox.

Troubleshooting

  • Invalid credentials: Make sure the Client ID and Client Secret are copied in full with no extra spaces. The secret cannot be recovered, so if in doubt, create a new API key and try again.
  • Missing permissions after connecting: The role assigned to the integration may be too restrictive. Assign a role that covers the required data, then reconnect.
  • Wrong version: If you use a private API key from Company Settings rather than Integrations & API Keys, connect with the Fountain (legacy) option instead.

Fountain (legacy): private API key

Only use this if your account does not have Integrations & API Keys under Settings.
  1. Log in to the Fountain dashboard.
  2. Click your account name in the top right corner and select Company Settings.
  3. Under Developer Settings, click API, then Show API Keys.
  4. Copy the private API key listed under Primary Key.
  5. In the connection pop-up, choose Fountain (legacy), enter your tenant URL and the private API key, then click Set up integration.
It may take a few minutes for all data to sync between Juicebox and Fountain.
